Factors that Determine Filter Life
Personal smoke filter life expectations will be different for everyone, depending on a few variables. There are two primary factors that determine how long your refill cartridges will last, lung capacity and the output particle density of the substance you are inhaling. In essence, it depends on how big your lungs are and what you are smoking. Larger lungs will of course put through more smoke per exhale, diminishing the overall number of total uses. In a similar fashion, denser smoke like cigarettes or flower will fill up more of your cartridge per use than vapor, also diminishing the overall number of total uses. These factors work in conjunction to determine the number of uses you will get from your filter cartridge.
What does up to 300 to 500 uses mean?
Your filter life will depend on where you are on the lung size / substance smoked spectrum. Someone like myself (above average height & weight with 20+ years of smoking experience, smoking a mixture of flower and vapor) is probably going to get between 200 – 300 uses. A smaller framed person with a vape pen can get between 400 – 500 uses because they fill up less of the cartridge capacity per use.
Everybody’s Different
The physics at work here are going to effect every manufacturer, we just wanted to do a little better at tempering your expectations. Yes this product has been tested by the manufacturer to get up to 500 uses, in a Best Case Scenario. You need to ask yourself am I the best case scenario, worst case scenario, or most likely, somewhere in between. Either way, a refillable cartridge personal smoke filtration system is going to be the most cost-effective and sustainable solution.
